I deleted my first post on this issue because I got your problem wrong. Look in the slot at the front of the crane.
Transformed my GP today. Insert the grip screw from the right side and tighten it with a screwdriver. Today I was off from work and decided to do some work on my Ruger GP Repeat the same test only this time hold the cylinder forward and iblk the thickest blade that fits with minimal friction. If the crane latch pin protrudes past flush, you will have to file a little off the end.
I try to keep it growing every week: The sight plunger part 38 and spring part 39 can be removed if necessary by pushing the plunger forward with a stiff wire from inside the sight channel.
Slide the grip panel locator into position with an equal amount of pin extending from both sides. The grittiness I heard and felt before is gone and the revolver functions very nice now. The center pin rod releases the front cylinder latch. I’m very pleased with the improvements to the GP and it just became one of my favorites.
As the trigger is pulled: Wed Dec 12, 1: Pull the center pin rod part 2 and center pin spring part 3 out from the front and the ejector part 58 out from the rear. The trigger guard assembly and cylinder assembly make up the rest of the gun. Do the serial number side of the gun first then start the hammer pivot pin and do the other side. Remove any galls and clean the channels inside the frame. Transfer bar is lifted into position. If the trigger guard has to be forced into the frame to fit, you can file down the rear flat surface until the trigger guard inserts into the frame with minimal friction.
It looks much better and is much easier to read and follow.

Pull the trigger guard latch spring part 44and the trigger link plunger part 47 out of the hole in the trigger guard part The strange thing about this is that for the last 40 years Ruger could have improved the trigger action on their revolvers, but they have not done so. Sounds more like there was something keeping it from gaining full contact with the hammer. Hold the rear of the sight down and tighten the screw to the desired position.
Just a very nice thing for a professional to do. If not, force solvent into the firing pin hole and push the firing pin in multiple times to help clean out the firing pin and hole. Fire lapping products are not recommended.
Strange problem with my GP100
Am I stuck with a two-piece style grip? This notch mates with the extension on the trigger to form the SA sear. You can open the throats to. Instead of energy being efficiently transferred to the firing pin, much of the energy is wasted.
In extreme cases, even a stainless gun will rust. Firing pin travel should be smooth. Moulton, I don’t know how to put a link for the springs but you can get the Kbok reduced power spring kits from Brownells, MidwayUSA or directly from Wolffe’s website.
I have a 3 inch barrel on Gp with fixed sights. Email required Address never made public. That’s the only thing right now keeping me from buying an Bp100 Do not overdo it or you will break the sear. Trigger plunger resets on cylinder latch. A very nice contribution to the hobby of shooting.
