Where do I begin? Lucas, the tattooed tajmara who not only has a contrived conflict with the heroine considering a double identity he has, but also has a webbber which could’ve been handled with so much better weight than what the narrative provided. I won’t say what happens but it was some start.
I could probably get behind the author doing that with respect to Jackie for realism considering in the aftermath of a traumatic event, there are people who eaasy think that way. He is absolutely a dream guy, but that’s why we read romance novels, right? It could’ve been a much more constructive, dimensional story, but it didn’t go as far to show it in a realistic fashion. She flinches when Buck threatens her and she’s in his presence, but to assume that it doesn’t have an affect with her relationship with Lucas? Tammara Webber makes you think you know what’s going on until you don’t!

I loved how he was so protective over Jacqueline and yes there was some back and forth but then you get to end and all of it just clicks and then your heart breaks all over again.
