I had sometimes thought that the dialogue was stilted and that the characters were too straightforward.
If you’ve read the prior books, you know Anna suffered a horrible event recently. At the end of the book, Erica makes an intriguing discovery about a mystery in her own past that I look forward to her investigating galloqs future. I may try again later but not likely.

I really love your review of this book, I too like this series and am not sure why as it seems a bit simply written for my usual taste. Her partner is devastated, her daughter is shattered, and her ex husband is still bitter that his wife left him. I wanted to know if anyone felt the same way? There was no mystery for me and no suspense.

And that she does it very well. The book itself was padded with so much “filler” and “fluff” that it was possible to skip thru the entire book quickly and not miss anything. Perhaps I’m just too old to be interested in teenagers getting drunk and making fools of themselves? I get a bit picky with translators! I thought her first crime novel in this series was really good, but it seems to have been downhill since then. Jun 24, Kathy rated it did not like it Shelves: I don’t know why I wasted my time on reading this whole book.
It contains winners and popular contestants from a range of programmes from Big Brother to Jersey Shore type shows. While I didn’t know why they committed the crimes they had until the end of the book, I still found it very hard to read the entire story. Thrillerreeks – Patrik Hedstrom 4.
In addition, the situation of Hedstrom’s sister-in-law didn’t seem to be handled in a realistic manner. She was very drunk and it is suggested that she was drink driving.

Especially book 2 …more I had to create kind of a phonetic list of characters and how they are related on my laptop so when I start a new book it helps. The ratings spike as the country tunes in to a real laackberg murder mystery.
There was high drama, and another cliffhanger at the end, so reading the next book in the series is a high priority. Meanwhile, a reality TV show begins shooting in the town, and as cameras shadow the stars’ every move, tempers start to flare.
I have read three of Lackberg’s prior Hedstrom books and enjoyed them.
